Background Former member of the Shinsengumi, Udo Jin-e was dismissed from the group after he started killing indiscriminately and even took the lives of his former squad members. In those days, he was known for his lust for blood and that he killed anyone who stood in his way. After he was banished from the Shinsengumi, Jin-e started killing high-ranking imperialists. He fitted himself with a black straw hat, giving him his nickname ‘Kurogasa’. On one of his many assassinations he stumbles upon a red haired swordsman, whom he becomes obsessed with, Himura Battousai. Kurogasa makes it his sole objective to kill the legendary Battousai but not the peace-loving rurouni he is now. Baiting Kenshin to turn into the manslayer he once was, Kurogasa goes to any extreme in order for him to succeed. |
